Study Spanish living at your teacher’s house, and enjoy a variety of activities
At Closeteachers, we offer a specific programme to learn Spanish whilst staying the teacher’s house. This programme creates the possibility of living with a family, learning Spanish and having a complete experience of cohabiting with native speakers in a context of total immersion.
We offer this programme for the majority of cities in Spain. We select host families in which at least one of the family members is qualified to teach Spanish. This teacher is in charge of coordinating the programme, planning Spanish classes and finding learning materials.
If, as well as learning Spanish, you want to participate in additional activities, we also have host families in rural cottages, some who work in horse-riding schools, some who are artists, some who are members of flamenco schools… and many other families who have links with a wide range of activities, meaning that as well as learning Spanish, you will be able to enjoy your favourite pastimes.
For example, in the North of Spain, we offer a placement with a host family in one of the most beautiful areas in the country. There, as well as living with a Spanish teacher, you will be able to go horse-riding, mountain-biking and hiking, or if you prefer, you can stay with a Spanish teacher who makes frequent trips to our rural house in Valdegovia.
