ASTE NAGUSIA 2019 THE FESTIVITIES IN THE CITY OF BILBAO, NORTH OF SPAIN
We are only 3 days away from the start of the Bilbao fiestas. We are all anxious to see the pregonera and txupinera start the festivities at the Arriaga Theatre.
However, although we know that every night as every year there will be fireworks that will leave us with our mouths open, what else will there be in this new edition?
On Sunday we can highlight the following activities that can be very interesting:
From the Basque Museum the pipers, Txistularis, giants and cabezudos will make the streets theirs with music and dance.
On the other hand, in Zabalbide street, the Goitiberas will go fast in the street to show who is the fastest person in these festivities.
In the bullring, the 2nd bullfight will close the second day of the festivities, as well as in the Gran Via at 19:00, the classic Whale Parade, which brings more and more people together to follow its magical world.
We travel until Tuesday August 20 to mark a typical game of the Basque Country that is interesting to see: At 11:00 in Karpagune will take place the championship for couples of Frog. This game consists of throwing a chip into the mouth of a metal frog to get a point.
As every day, the fire bull at 20:30 will be in the Plaza Arriaga.
Basque sports will take place on 21, 22, 23 and 24 at 12:00 in the Arenal.
On the other hand, on Wednesday we will have in the Kiosk Arenal the concert of the municipal band of Music of Bilbao.
In the plaza del gas the theatre of the street CIRQUE LA COMPAGNIE LÁVIS BIDON.
These activities and many more are programmed for this colourful week.
