Worthy of particular mention is the façade, the courtyard and the funeral chapel, places with an abundance of tiny decorative elements which constantly repeat the fleur-de-lis, the symbol of the founder, as well as the emblems and coats of arms of the Catholic Monarchs, who were the patrons of honour of the College.
There are many historical sites of interest in the area surrounding Valladolid. The picturesque castle of Peñafiel, for instance, is well worth a visit.
