The Santa Faz pilgrimage, which takes place on the second Thursday after Easter, is Spain´s second largest pilgrimage. This traditional and popular celebration involves the "La Peregrina" pilgrimage and worship of the relic of Santa Faz, which is kept in the Santa Faz monastery. Other important festivals include the Virgen del Remedio, which takes place in early August, starting with a La Alborada choir concert and ends with August with the procession of the image of the Virgen del Remedio, female patron saint of Alicante.

By car- You can take the AP 7 motorway, which runs through the province of Alicante from north-east to south-west, and connects to Valencia in the north and Murcia and Andalucia in the south. You can also take the A-31 motorway which connects with Madrid.
By Coach- From the central bus station in Alicante, there are routes to destinations in the rest of the province, Spanish regional capitals, European capitals and Morocco.
