My experience as a student of Spanish: an American student in Seville

My name is Hannah, I'm from Ohio and I signed up to last year's course of Spanish. I chose Seville because I like the sun, the heath and happy people. I signed up thorugh Closeteachers to save up money because I wanted to save up a 10% and because the 'opinions' of their courses of Spanish were the best.

I learnt a lot in the Spanish school of Seville because I could only say hola when I arrived and at the end of the course I was telling jokes in Spanish. This took me 4 months of full-time training, I did all the homework after school, I went out in the chilly evenings and having some tapas and to dance.

The roads of Seville are lively and people always ask me where I'm from because I'm blonde and I have blue eyes and they call me in an endearing way 'guiri'.

The courses of Spanish are super fun, the teachers are young and we talk about everything. I met people from all around the world and the streets of Seville are full of light and colours.

I've done lots of things for the first time, like taking a 'ribujito', having dinner at 10 and going to bed at 5am after danicing all night in the open air.

I made the most of it to travel to Granada, Madrid, Barcelona y Marruecos and now that I'm in my country I only wish to go back to practice my Spanish even if, actually, I can do it also in the US to be honest this has nothing to do with practicing here in the Plaza España of Seville with some good wine and some tapas with flamenco as a soundtrack.
